چکیده

Significant tasks of the presented research are development multifunctional materials capable both to detect/capture carbon dioxide and monitor toxic metal ions from waters, thus contributing maintaining a sustainable clean environment. The purpose this work was synthesize, characterize (NMR, FT-IR, UV-Vis, Fluorescence, AFM) exploit optical emission properties carboxyl-substituted A3B porphyrin, 5-(4-carboxy-phenyl)-10,15,20-tris-(4-methyl-phenyl)–porphyrin, based on it, develop novel composite material able adsorb dioxide. This porphyrin-k-carrageenan can capture CO2 in ambient conditions with performance 6.97 mmol/1 g adsorbent. Another aim our extend porphyrin- k-carrageenan material’s functionality toward Mn2+ detection polluted waters medical samples, relying its synergistic partnership gold nanoparticles (AuNPs). plasmonic porphyrin-k-carrageenan-AuNPs detected range concentration 4.56 × 10−5 M 9.39 (5–11 mg/L), which be useful for monitoring health humans exposed water sources or those who ingested high dietary manganese.

Synthesis and Application of New Gadolinium-Porphyrins as Potential MR Imaging Contrast Agents for Cancer Detection in Nude Mice

Two new potential magnetic resonance imaging contrast agents, Gd-hematoporphyrin (Gd-H) and Gd-tetra-carboranylmethoxyphenyl-porphyrin (Gd TCP), were synthesized and applied to nude mice with human melanoma (MM 138) xenografts. These agents showed a high relaxivity because of their greater potential to coordinate water molecules. The reduction of T1 relaxation times of 16 and 21% was observed i...

Functionalized Polymeric Membranes for CO2 Capture

Reducing CO2 emission and lowering the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere has quickly become one of the most urgent environmental issues. While a variety of technologies and methods have been developed, the separation of CO2 from gas streams is still a critical issue. Apart from establishing new techniques, the exploration of membrane materials with high separation performance ...
